Wendy Fitzsimons, Esq.
In addition to her current practice, Ms. Fitzsimons also has a background in tax and trust and estates. This allows her to handle complex financial issues and assets in her litigation practice. In all legal matters, Ms. Fitzsimons brings a tenaciousness to her advocacy that is tempered by a genuine and compassionate disposition.
Prior to founding W. Fitzsimons & Associates, Ms. Fitzsimons was a Partner at Tepper Dardeck and Levins, LLP in Rutland, Vermont. Ms. Fitzsimons was trained by Steve Dardeck in all areas of family litigation.

Wendy Fitzsimons first moved to Vermont in September of 2014. Prior to moving to Vermont, Ms. Fitzsimons practiced law for over ten years in New York assisting international and domestic clients in trust and estate, family law, tax and real estate matters. In addition to a J.D., Ms. Fitzsimons holds an L.L.M. in Taxation (Masters in Tax Law).
Ms. Fitzsimons was also an adjunct professor of business law in the accounting program at Queens College, a member of the City University of New York (CUNY). In this position, she instructed accounting majors in the areas of contract and property law as well as corporate formation. In addition to her instruction at CUNY, Ms. Fitzsimons gave numerous presentations on corporate, tax, and estate planning issues to a wide variety of professional and business organizations located in the North East.
Wendy began her career as a Legal Fellow for Honorable James Yates in the New York Unified Court System. During her tenure there she conducted research and assisted in drafting opinions in Article 78 and high profile criminal matters including, People v. Kozlowski.
When not in the office, Ms. Fitzsimons enjoys an active Vermont lifestyle. She loves to hike, ski, and snowshoe in Rutland County. In the Summer Ms. Fitzsimons can be found swimming in Lake Dunmore with her husband and daughters and camping all over the state of Vermont with their dog Milo.
